SLUITINGS CEREMONIE - 17.00 - 17.30 

Op deze dag vieren wij het 50 jarig bestaan van het Nederlands Centrum voor Inheemse Volken (NCIV) bij het Volkenkundig Museum in Leiden. Het dag vullende programma wordt ingewijd met een ceremonie op de binnenplaats, gevolgd door lezingen en panelgesprekken over 'indigenous identity' en 'indigenous wisdom', workshop sessies over verschillende inheemse culturele expressievormen en muzikale omlijsting met dans door verschillende inheemsen van over de hele wereld. Er is tevens een doorgaand kinderprogramma.

Voices of the Earth vindt plaats in de Grote Zaal op de eerste verdieping van het museum en in het prachtige Paviljoen in de tuin.

On this day, we celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Netherlands’ Association for Indigenous Peoples’ (NCIV) at the iconic Ethnology Museum in Leiden. The program of the day will kick-off with a ceremony in the garden and further contains lectures and panels on ‘indigenous identity’ and ‘indigenous wisdom’; workshop sessions about various native cultural expressions and music and dance performances from communities all over the world who identify as indigenous. There will also be a program for kids throughout the whole day.
