Description
We're moving to a new storefront! Celebration time with a 3-day weekender on April 8-9-10.
We’re very happy to have Soul In The Hole’s Sadar Bahar and Lee Collins as our guests for the Sunday! The two veterans team up to throw more underplayed funk, jazz and soul infused disco and house music on the dancefloor. Like Sadar, Lee Collins has been one of Chicago’s musical pillars since the heydays. Sadar Bahar needs little introduction, we’re overjoyed to have him back at the decks for another great Sunday jam!!

SADAR BAHAR
Sadar Bahar is a one of a kind DJ. Raised in Chicago in the early 70s it was his Mom who brought him his first set of Technics turntables. He’s been digging for records most of his life, and he has yet to take a break. Sadar Bahar’s distinctive stance on the essence of House music has allowed him to stay relevant till this day. With a strictly vinyl to vinyl ethos and delivery of deepest and unknown of rare grooves rather than straight beat tracks, Sadar Bahar and his partners at Soul In The Hole strive to keep the soulful vibe alive which in their opinion can only be derived from “real” music, created by “real” musicians playing “real” instruments. Anyone who’s seen him play can attest to the pure brilliance of his art and dedication.
LEE COLLINS
Windy City Super Jock, Lee Collins, has been serving the funky grooves to Chicago's music lovers and partygoers for over 30 years. Born and raised in Chicago, Lee Collins has been playing records since he was 13 years old. Lee began as a student under such DJs as Andre Hatchett, Frankie Knuckles, Farley Keith, Robert Owens and Ron Hardy. Soon, Lee developed the kind of progressive funky soul sound that he is known for today.
In 1983, he began a college radio show on WHPK in Chicago called "Disco Madness". The show was named after the album containing his favorite record "Let No Man Put Asunder" - First Choice. According to ratings, by 1985, "Disco Madness" was rivaling WBMX's Hot Mix Five. In 1986, Robert Williams, owner of the Music Box, opened Fridays at the club for Lee to do a sequence of "Disco Madness" parties.
In 1989, Lee did a guest spot at a club called "Bad Boys" in Chicago and was asked to be resident. Lee rocked the party from 10pm till 10am every Saturday until it closed in 1990. The next year, Lee collaborated with long-time friend Anthony Nicholson to produce their first 12" single: "Thrill Me" - Rhythm Section.
Later, Lee teamed up with Sadar and Russoul and formed a production company called "Soul in the Hole". Sadar and Lee are currently in the studio working on the "Soul in the Hole" album.
