SKIP&DIE is zonder twijfel de hoofdvertegenwoordiger van crossovers tussen verschillende (westerse en niet-westerse) muziekgenres en daarmee het ultieme visitekaartje voor het concept van Pllek Live Stage. Deze vierkoppige band brengt een multi mix van kosmische psychedelica, tropical, experimental, rap, dub, digitale cumbia, getto tech, punk en afro futuristische beats. Dat en eigenlijk nog veel meer, met een politieke ondertoon. Voor de derde keer ontvangt Pllek Catarina a.k.a. Cata Pirata (songwriter, vocalist & oprichter), Gino (percussie & gitaar), Daniel (gitaar & sas) en Jori (producer, keys & FX) met open armen.

Sommigen noemen hun stijl Future Kuduro en Global Bass music, anderen genieten simpelweg van deze waanzinnig unieke sound die eigenlijk niet onder één genre te vatten is. Gata Misteriosa en Lee Bass reizen in hun tijdmachine het universum af, op jacht naar nieuwe grooves. Een optreden van deze hypersonic beatmachine betekent futuristische outfits, Gata springend op het podium en een zonnig en ritmisch muziekspel die zelfs de muurbloempjes lostrekt.

Je zou hem een componist, een muziekproducer, een pianist of een DJ kunnen noemen. Zijn roots liggen in de hiphopcultuur, jazz en Latin en elektronische genres, daarnaast studeerde hij Indiase en Arabische muziek. Prace combineert het beste van verschillende muziekculturen om de schoonheid van de wereld samen te brengen in een eigen gecreëerde stijl die hij Dubnova noemt. Latijnse ritmes met een dub-stijl baseline en elektronische sounds gecombineerd met organische elementen.

Pllek Live Stage is een podium voor de nieuwsgierige muziekliefhebber. De zaal (naast het restaurant) heeft een eigenwijze smoel met geweldige akoestiek en een te gek uitzicht, in een rauwe maar toch warme omgeving. Het stoere zusje van Pllek is met haar D&B soundsystem een waardige muziektempel voor ruim 300 dansende bezoekers.
Iedere eerste donderdag van de maand programmeren wij een muzikaal avontuur waarbij energieke live performances centraal staan. Verwacht opzwepende, dansbare internationale acts en crossovers tussen hedendaagse elektronica en westerse en niet-westerse genres. Een eclectische ontdekkingsreis die je moet horen!
