Hee, is dat geen tikfout, zul je misschien denken als je Mooie Plaatsys ziet staan. Maar nee, plaatsys is Bildts voor - inderdaad - plaatjes. Foto's, portretten en landschappen... Ons project staat er vol mee, en het geheel is ook weer een mooi plaatsy.
Op 2 maart laten we graag zien hoe dit monumentje voor de eigenzinnige gemeente het Bildt eruit ziet en tot stand kwam. Dan kunnen we vertellen hoe we elkaar ontmoetten, samen optrokken en uiteindelijk, na een succesvolle crowdfunding campagne, de cassette Mooie Plaatsys wisten te maken. Hoe Baukje begon met digitale fotografie, overstapte op haar negentiende-eeuwse veldcamera en zelfs zo veel vertraagde dat ze minutenlang moest belichten voor de juiste pinholefoto's. Hoe dat past bij de inhoud van de vier boekjes. Hoe we samenwerkten met de creatieve vormgeefster Kitty Lolkema en de meedenkende boekbinder Wytze Fopma. Hoe we de Bildtse gemeenschap achter ons kregen én hoe we terecht kwamen in een video, geprojecteerd op de Oldehove in Leeuwarden. Kortom, we maken een feestje van de signeersessie op 2 maart.
