Tijdens dit concert hoort u hoe muziek van meester op leerling wordt doorgegeven, en telkens een nieuwe vorm krijgt. Organiste Francesca Ajossa start dit concert met Jan Pieterszoon Sweelinck en zijn leerling Heinrich Scheidemann op het Hess-orgel: heldere lijnen, een samenspel van stemmen die met elkaar in gesprek gaan. Via Dietrich Buxtehude op het Nijsse-orgel hoort u hoe die traditie steeds vrijer en virtuozer wordt.
Op het Bätz-Witte-orgel klinkt vervolgens de verfijnde Triosonate no. 3 van Johann Sebastian Bach: drie stemmen in een levendig muzikaal gesprek. Zijn zoon, Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach, slaat daarna een nieuwe weg in met muziek met meer contrast en verrassende wendingen.
Francesca Ajossa sluit af met de indrukwekkende fantasie van Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, groots en bijna symfonisch van karakter. Deze middag staat in het teken van muzikale verbinding tussen meester en leerling; van Sweelinck tot Mozart.
