Met The Gathering scoorde Anneke van Gierbergen met haar band prijs na prijs, betrad ze elk belangrijk podium of dat nu op festivals of in theaters was of in kleinere clubs, en bezocht ze onderhand elk land te wereld.
In 2007 verliet ze The Gathering en begon tevens haar solo-carrière.
Dat ze solo haar mannetje wel staat, is wel te zien aan haar drukke tourschema.
Met nog maar nauwelijks de "Theater Tour" achter de rug, zelfs midden in haar The Gentle Storm Tour, bleek er ook nog ruimte voor deze "An Evening With Anneke van Giersbergen Tour"
Met deze laatste tour is ze in Muziekcafé Helmond waarbij ze een carrière-overspannend oeuvre wil brengen, gecombineerd met haar meest favoriete covers.
