“ENKELE REIS”
Een muziektheatervoorstelling over vriendschap en radicalisering, 'Enkele reis’ schetst een realistisch beeld van de sfeer in de Nederlandse grootstedelijke buitenwijken en gaat voorbij de bekende mediaclichés door mensen van vlees en bloed te laten zien met idealen en dromen die universeel zijn.
Enkele Reis vertelt het verhaal van jonge vrienden met drie verschillende karakters: Zakaria, de gangmaker en levensgenieter heeft maling aan wat mensen van hem denken. Sara, de doortastende idealist is in staat bruggen te slaan en harmonie te brengen. Mo, een rusteloze denker vol trauma’s zoekt houvast en denkt die in de islam te vinden. Wanneer Mo zich verliest in een rigide interpretatie van zijn religie komt de vriendschap onder druk te staan. Hoe gaan de vrienden om met andere overtuigingen en levensstijlen? Hoe reageren zij op onrecht en noodlot? De onderlinge verschillen worden groter, maar blaast dat ook de vriendschap nieuw leven in?
Enkele Reis is een voorstelling met een hoog tempo waarbij veel wordt geschakeld tussen spel, livemuziek en beeld. Voor de voorstelling zijn speciale composities ontwikkeld die zowel de overeenkomsten als de verschillen illustreren tussen de westerse en Arabische cultuur. Op speelse wijze wordt het publiek meegenomen in een mix van gesproken en gezongen woord.
Na afloop wordt het publiek uitgenodigd om over de thema’s van de voorstelling na te praten in aanwezigheid van een gespreksleider.
