Choral Evensong in de Nieuwe Kerk, 16 februari 2020, 17.00uur, Toegang vrij.
Choral Voices zingt op 16 februari een Choral Evensong in de Nieuwe Kerk: een Engelstalige vesperdienst met veel muziek zoals die in de Anglicaanse kerk al eeuwenlang dagelijks ten gehore wordt gebracht. In februari brengt het koor muziek van onder meer Johannes Brahms, Alexander L'Estrange, Ben Parry en van de eigen dirigent Daniël Rouwkema.
De vesper ontvouwt zich volgens een vast model met (gezongen) gebeden, psalmen en hymnes en een tweetal lofgezangen (die van Maria en Simeon) waarvan de muzikale invulling iedere maand anders is. Vele componisten hebben sinds het ontstaan van de Anglicaanse Kerk in 1534 de vaste teksten op hun eigen wijze getoonzet.
De muzikale leiding is in handen van dirigent Daniel Rouwkema
het orgel wordt bespeeld door Mannes Hofsink.
De Evensongs worden georganiseerd in samenwerking met Schoonheid met een Ziel
en de Protestantse Gemeente Nieuwe Kerk

The approval of refunds is entirely at the event organiser’s discretion, and you should get in contact with the event organiser to discuss what options are available to you.
