Buitendijks
Buitendijks is de lofzang op het rurale Groningen in al zijn facetten
gelegen aan de Eems en aan de Waddenzee,
waar de nacht nog echt duister is,
waar de meeuwen heer en meester zijn
en op de zandbanken te midden van het kalme geronk van voorbij varende schepen
de zeehonden onbekommerd liggen te zonnen
Waar op het oude en nieuwe land de buizerd en de kiekendief de lege kleivlakken
met hun unieke vergezichten bestieren,
welke slechts onderbroken worden door
als baken fungerende eeuwenoude Groninger kerktorens
Waar ganzen in al hun eigenzinnigheid
een donsfeestje bouwen op de dijk bij Hoogwatum,
terwijl de dichter met een dwaze fanfare in zijn hoofd
buitendijks voort raast en
vervolgens vertelt over de laag schrijdende zon
in het bijna grijze graan achter Zeerijp
Dáárover gaat Buitendijks:
zijnde een warm en bevlogen pleidooi voor het Groningse
en als filmisch/literair/muzikaal totaalgebeuren tegenspel biedt aan het slechte
bodem-imago dat Groningen onterecht ten deel is gevallen.
De liederen worden afgewisseld met filmbeelden van zowel de Groningse natuur
als de poëzie, voorgedragen door de dichter.
Na de pauze klinkt Beethoven:
twee Ierse volksliederen en zijn pianotrioversie van de Tweede Symfonie,
dit alles door Frans Vuursteen gearrangeerd voor Triptychon.
