Instagrammers extraordinaire Zoe Timmers and Phil Yisrael lead this intimate and detailed one-day workshop from The Hoxton, Amsterdam.
Phil’s Instagram feed tells the ongoing story of life in Amsterdam, through beautiful and captivating street photography images. He currently has 61k followers.
Zoe’s Instagram travel and lifestyle feed provides insights into life in London and her adventures further afield. She has 63k followers.
Zoe and Phil will discuss how they grew their Instagram brands. They will share their wealth of knowledge on how best to build your own Instagram feed through photography, and how to create an identity and presence that will engage both new followers and interest from brands.
Throughout the day you will learn tips, tricks and technical advice on shooting and editing photographs, how to curate your Instagram feed making it look like a gallery, and build your Instagram presence with shoots in and around the fabulous new Hoxton, Amsterdam.
The workshop ends with a Q&A session and cocktail!
Numbers are limited to allow Zoe and Phil the chance to give everyone some one-on-one time.
LOCATION: The hip Hoxton, Amsterdam has just opened it’s doors and is just as vibrant and design-minded and it’s sister hotels in London. With a buzzy lobby bar and public spaces, The workshop will take place in their stunning ‘Apartment’.
REQUIREMENTS: Smartphone (mobile phone) with a camera (Android devices with an 8MP camera or better (including the 4MP HTC One), Nokia Lumia with a 5MP camera or better, and iPhone 4, 4S, 5, 5C, 5S and 6)
Who is Phil Yisrael?
Phil, originally from Sydney, has been living in Amsterdam for 10 years. A former horse trainer whilst in Australia, he moved into the world of photography gaining a degree in Filmmaking and Digital Media and formed PDY Media which focuses on making corporate videos, music videos, documentaries and photography.
Phil has built an impressive following of 60k on Instagram and a new business, Winksta, an Instagram marketing business. In 2014 Mashable named him as one of the top 10 Instagrammers in Holland and Fathom Away, an NYC travel blog named him one of the world's top 24.
Phil has provided photographs, run campaigns, organized events and conducted workshops based around Instagram for global brands such as Apple, Facebook, Marriott Hotels & Resorts, Levi's, Dorchester Collection Hotels, and Engie.
He is passionate about all things Instagram and photography and can’t wait to share his knowledge with you.
Who is Zoe Timmers?
Zoe has been producing television for UK broadcasters such as the BBC and Sky for over 15 years including all 7 of the highly successful BBC series 'Three Men in a Boat'.
Recently she has turned her attention to photography and as a social media influencer has worked on Instagram with brands such as J Crew, Tumi, Jack Wills, Bloomberg, NetJets and Vogue amongst others. Her photography work was recently featured in a photography exhibition in New York organised by Instagram.
She was the first to launch an #empty museum event in London with the Tate Gallery which was documented in The Guardian newspaper, and has recently held an #emptyBM (British Museum).
Her bespoke workshops are highly popular and oversubscribed and have recently covered mobile phone photography and Instagram.
THE WORKSHOP
Workshop Morning Session – Intro, Mobile Phone Photography techniques and Photowalk
Phil and Zoe will discuss how to use Instagram, mobile phone camera shooting techniques, followed by a chance to shoot around The Hoxton and a photowalk on the streets.
SHOOTING LUNCH (included in the price)
Workshop Afternoon Session - Editing techniques, Instagram Strategy and Q&A
Phil and Zoe discuss editing techniques across a variety of great apps and guide participants through the editing process.
The workshop continues with a discussion on how to build an Instagram following and prepare your Instagram feed to work with brands. Discussion on working with brands.

Hello! I'm an Instagram Digital Content Strategist and work with clients to improve their Instagram awareness and presence on the platform. I'm addicted to storytelling and work with people to ultimately create a strategy that will drive presence and growth.
I'm also a Photographer and Content Creator providing businesses and brands (large and small) in all sectors with imagery (stills and video) that tell engaging and aspirational stories. I have worked with BMW, Sony, Volkswagen, Hunter Boots, P&O Cruises and Visit Wales amongst others.
As a former TV Producer (with over 15 years experience as a TV Producer in documentary, travel and factual entertainment programming) I create video content, photography shoots and bespoke workshops for groups of any size.
I love telling stories and helping people on their visual and social media journeys!

The first thing to do is check your spam/junk filters and inboxes. Your Build Your Instagram Profile with @pdy + @zobolondon tickets were sent as an attachment and can be thought of as spam by some email services.
