Traditiegetrouw verzorgt Breakfast Club op 1 januari de ultieme start van het jaar met een line up om je vingers bij af te likken. Dit jaar doen we het op een wel heel speciale locatie: Old School. Met het oude schoolgebouw vol gangen, trappen en meerdere zalen hebben we de ideale plek gevonden voor ons nieuwjaarsfestijn.
Niemand minder dan Helena Hauff komt op bezoek. Met een voorliefde voor donkere muziek weet ze dansvloeren te bezweren met die eigenzinnige Hauff sound: een mix van acid, electro en spacy synth pop. De uit New York afkomstige Mike Servito neemt het stokje over zoals alleen hij dat kan en hij zal met chirurgische precisie de zaal aan gort draaien. XDB is er ook weer bij en dat is niet zonder reden. De ware mixmaster gaat net als 2 jaar terug met de meest obscure house en electro platen een onvergetelijke set neerzetten.
In de tweede zaal legt de Zwitserse Eli Verveine haar diepe groovers op en doordansen zal hier de enige optie zijn. Aan haar zijde staat Nederlands talent Ivano Tetelepta, die met zijn eigenzinnige house sound een live set ten gehore brengt zoals je die bij Breakfast Club gewend bent. Eerder al bewees hij zich als het hoogtepunt van de dag.
De BFC-residents zorgen voor de muzikale omlijsting zoals je dat van ze mag verwachten. Tel hier loepzuiver Funktion-One geluid en het fijnste feestvolk van Amsterdam bij op en je weet dat je 2 januari vrij moet nemen. Old School op de eerste dag van het nieuwe jaar dus, lets go!
