Het lijkt alsof we een IK zijn die het leven moet zien te controleren. Dit leidt doorgaans tot veel gepieker, verkramping en stress. De IK die dagelijks druk bezig is met ‘goed genoeg zijn' en 'alles onder controle houden', is echter illusoir. Nondualiteit zet de manier waarop we kijken naar onszelf en de werkelijkheid op z'n kop en laat zien dat het leven is makkelijker dan je denkt, maar moeilijker als je denkt.
Het eerste uur ligt de focus op Jnana, de weg van het verstand.
Wanneer rationeel is begrepen dat alles bewustzijn is waarin alles verschijnt en verdwijnt, kan de mind geleidelijk aan tot rust komen.
De opbrengst van deze avond gaat naar Stichting Surprise-Me voor hulp aan mensen in arme dorpen rond Madurai in Zuid-India.
