Van 15 mei tot en met 19 september 2021 vindt de 7e editie van ARTZUID plaats. De Amsterdam Sculptuur Biënnale presenteert een belevingstentoonstelling met meer dan zestig kunstwerken op de 2,5 km lange route. Het hart van de tentoonstelling ligt in Berlage’s monumentale Plan Zuid met de lommerrijke Apollolaan en Minervalaan. De tentoonstelling is in de openbare ruimte en daarom 24/7 gratis te bezoeken.
ARTZUID 2021 toont kunstenaars met engagement, kunstenaars die figuratief en expressief werken met een interculturele beeldtaal. De deelnemende kunstenaars bevragen de huidige staat van de wereld en delen ieder op hun eigen manier, hun idealen over een betere wereld voor mens, dier en natuur. ARTZUID 2021 draagt daarom de titel IMAGINE. Naar het lied van John Lennon waarin hij zijn idealen voor een betere wereld deelde.
