Een avondje verrijken. Het bestaan waardevoller maken door samen te zijn. Ik deel, hij deelt, wij delen. Ik ben niet goed in rekenen, maar vanavond deel en vermenigvuldig ik. Gewoon tegelijkertijd. Mijn onnozelheid zorgt ervoor dat de logica onlogisch is. Met zijn allen samen.
ALLA KONDRE! Letterlijk vertaald betekent het ‘Alle landen’ in het Surinaams. Als ik op straat paradeer als een pauw roepen mensen het ook wel eens. Vloekend zeggen zij dat mijn rode broek en oranje met paarse coltrui vloeken. Ik kan er niets aan doen, zo ben ik opgevoed. Als kleine ging ik met mijn moeder naar de kinderboerderij. De pauwen fascineerde mij. Vooral wanneer zij hun veren met opdruk van indringende ogen en velen kleuren exposeerde. Een pauw is niet gek, "denke toch niet dat ik constant mijnne poepgat aan iedereren laat zien"? Dit deden zij alleen als zij zich wilden bewijzen naar een nog kleurrijker ander. 1 + 1 = 2. Daar liep ik dan als Ikea-kleurenwaaier te paraderen om de pauw uit te dagen. Werken deed het en old habits die hard. Kleurrijk ben ik nog steeds.
URVINHO & FAYA en TEAM OULLIE kwamen om deze reden naar mij. Ze weten dat ik van vloeken en verrijken hou. Het liefst met iedereen. Vandaar dat we een avondje alle culturen, muziekstijlen en kleuren samenbrengen die onze mooie stad Amsterdam te bieden heeft. Gezellig en funky, met ‘70’s soul, funk en Motown invloeden.
